Sister Sciences, Separate Thresholds: The Journey to Ming Acupuncture

Ming Acupuncture did not begin as a second website. It began as a return — to acupuncture, herbal medicine, food energetics, and the whole-person listening Federica Mingotti had practiced long before microneedling became part of her clinical life.

The Regenerative Studio carries the microneedling-facing work: assessment-led skin renewal, paced Care Journeys, and collagen remodeling care hosted at Wen Acupuncture & Wellness in Glen Allen. Ming Acupuncture carries the acupuncture-facing work: pain, movement, digestion, pelvic health, fertility support, stress, sleep, and vitality — hosted at Health Link Family Chiropractic in Mechanicsville.

Why sister sciences needed separate thresholds

We call them sister sciences because both traditions work with repair and regulation — but they are not interchangeable storefronts. A patient seeking individualized acupuncture should not have to navigate microneedling pathways to find a phone number. A patient seeking assessment-led microneedling should not land on an acupuncture services page and wonder which offer applies.

Separating the brands was an act of clarity, not division. Same practitioner. Same foundational values — integrity, wholeness, curiosity, excellence, compassion, evolution. Two doors, each labeled honestly.

The conservatory arch as a shared needle

Ming Acupuncture carries a family mark: the conservatory arch from The Regenerative Studio, drawn as the handle of a modern acupuncture needle. It signals continuity — these practices share a cultivated standard — without pretending they are the same clinic.

What bringing Ming to life required

Launching Ming meant botanical design tokens distinct from Regenerative Studio porcelain and teal; a Journal and Events surface of its own; phone booking through the Health Link desk instead of online commerce; and the discipline to keep founding offers, microneedling assessments, and Regenerative Studio pathways off this site entirely.

Federica’s journey informs both practices. Naturopathic study in Italy. Massage therapy. A Master of Science in Acupuncture and Chinese Herbal Medicine. A decade in corporate work that taught her how sustained stress disconnects people from their bodies. Microneedling entered later as a clinical complement in skin care — not as a replacement for acupuncture’s broader integrative frame.
